Hi I’m Max! I was born in 1984 and I’ve been making websites since 1997. I found out about Neocities and the indie web revival in Nov 2023 and I could not stay away so I made this personal site!

I visited the neocities directory and browsed every site that remotely reminded me of a layout I may have seen 1997-2002. I took a break, then later I dove back into it, visiting the Wayback Machine and reviewing mostly image-free archives of my old websites. I’ll never remember what they all were but I did manage to make myself puke (metaphorically) reviewing my journal posts. (I was pretty cute, but super annoying too.)

IS TEENAGED MAX CRUNCH BACK? Are they returning from the grave, crawling out from below and beyond covered in dirt and mud, dried out and thirsty for blood? Am I having a midlife crisis? Let’s find out... together!
