About
This site will be used as a repository for both new and old writing. As I go through my history in many many trips down memory lane, I'll be taking excerpts or writing reflections and posting them here, backdated to when the entry was originally composed. The more I reflect on writing, the more I will write! I am excited to journey back into a chapter of sharing my writing online.
Among my posts will be those related to the Muse writing club. Entries from writing club prompts will have the below button on them. Visit to see all Muse prompts and visit other writers!
Some of my writing was created in the DrawNote mobile app and includes visual elements and other forms of expression. Right now these aren't accessible (sorry) but I will take the time to transcribe them soon.
Some facts about me as a writer:
- I've been writing stories since I was a kid and have pinned my identity on writing for the majority of my life.
- I've gone in and out of different formats/styles my whole life. Some things I've focused on in the past: Short stories, novels, series, book reviews, blogging, self-care for creatives, personal journaling, exercises in fictionalizing my life (example: describing a night out but pretending I went on a fantasy adventure too), biography, creative non-fiction, academic writing... I am sure there are more I am not thinking about.
- I've completed 2 books via the Nanowrimo challenge and "won" for 7 years (the other books were never finished). I haven't participated earnestly since 2019.
- I once used an indie publisher to print a collection of stories spanning 5 years of heartbreak. I called my ex my "twilight monster" and the book was titled Twilight Tales. It was written under a pseudonym and I'll have to find my copy to remember what it was. It sold 3 copies.
- I've been writing zines since 2012. Most of them are perzines but many fall in scope of creative self-help. You can download some zines here for free.
- I write process and user documentation professionally. I really love doing it.
- I took a 6-year break from writing in my late 20s/early 30s and from that experience I found out that it's vital for me to keep writing and journaling to help process everything including what's going on in the world and my life.
- I have learned about myself that keeping multiple journals segmented by topic helps to encourage my writing more than using one bucket for everything.
